Darren DeRidder Personal Information
I was born in 1970 in Coos Bay, Oregon and I grew up in the small town of
Rockaway Beach, on the Oregon coast. As a child I learned to play the piano
and not to throw pancakes at people. I studied music in college in Alberta,
Canada and eventually ended up in Japan. In the past I've been a musician, a
teacher, a writer, and a business person, before settling on Computer
Engineering. I now work as a software designer in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
I enjoy travelling and doing things like scuba diving, rock climbing, mountaineering, and sailing in exotic and remote places (fun stuff), composing music, taking photos, and painting pictures (artsy stuff), and making computer programs (nerdy stuff).
