rm

The rm command removes (deletes) a file.

Example:

lager 8:35pm {0}[~] rm dead.letter

would delete the file dead.letter from the current directory. Just a word of advice be careful when using rm. In unix when you remove a file you are unable to get it back(there is no undelete).
