How to use Lynx
|
How to use LynxLynx is a text based internet browser. Lynx allows you to navigate
the web. To activate "lynx" simply type lynx at the
prompt.
After Activating the application you will be brought to the default web
page(in the configuration of the browser).
How to get to a particular addressAn easy way to get to a particular address on the web is to type "lynx"
followed by the address of your choice.

How to move around in lynx
-Down and Up will allow you to change links on a particular page. -Right will go forward a link. This would be equivalent to clicking on a link with your mouse while in Netscape. -Left will go backward a link. This would be equivalent to clicking on
the "BACK" button on your netscape toolbar.
How to download files-To save a file(the text) hit "p" then select the link "save" -To download a file position the cursor on the link that you would like to download and hit "d" Here is a much more complete list of commands. Since most of them
